I love mascaras. Love, Love, Love them! So naturally I'm always wanting to test out new ones, and the one I have been testing for the past couple of weeks is the Eyeko Skinny Brush mascara. Theres a lot of good reviews about this mascara so I wanted to try it out myself and put it to the test!
My first impression wasn't the best, I initially thought that it was clumpy and didn't lengthen my lashes at all like it claims to do, it then got put in my makeup drawer and it stayed there for about a week. Then I decided to give it another go (mainly because it was the closest to hand whilst in a mad rush to get ready) and I now LOVE it!!!
It's not the best dramatic evening mascara, but it is the best natural daytime mascara. It lengthens the lashes like crazy, curls them up to jesus (yes I know I watch waaay too much Patrick Star) and makes them jet black. The way this mascara separates my eyelashes and defines them is fabulous, it really picks up every lash coating and curling them one by one. Just a single coat makes a very natural, long, lashy look. I feel like this would be perfect for the no makeup, makeup look or for round the pool on holiday. Two to three coats creates the perfect daytime, everyday look, nice and natural but still long and black as black.
The Eyeko Skinny Brush mascara has vitamin B in it to help grow and condition the lashes and is paraben free, which makes this mascara even better! Because of the intensity of the black and the excellent hold of the curl I thought the downfall to this mascara would be the removal, but no this mascara is just as easy to remove as it is to apply. It really does come off with just warm water and your fingers but I like to use the Garnier Micellar Water.
I think the price is great for the quality and it is my new favourite everyday mascara. I think this mascara has certainly earned it's place in my makeup bag!
I also got my hands on the Eyeko Fat Eyeliner, this product didn't really do anything for me. I don't know whether this is down to the fact I don't really like a thick liner or whether it's not actually a great product but it was very hard to use to get a neat line or get close enough to the lash line. There are good points to this liner, like the easy removal and the intensity of the black but unfortunately the cons outweigh the pros on this one! The formula of this product has however made me want to try the Eyeko Skinny liner so I will see how I get on with that!
A x
